Queensboro Blues

Nous avons rendu lundi dernier les clés de notre appartement de l’Upper East Side. Fin des levers de soleil sur le Queensboro Bridge. Fin de la vie à New York.

Je dis à New York car c’est la bonne formulation grammaticale, certes, mais en fait je devrais dire fin de la vie avec New York.

Manhattan from the sky

Je n’ai pas encore eu le temps de vous en parler mais début janvier, nous avons pu checker un point crucial de notre “NY Bucket List” grâce aux parents de Romain qui nous ont offert pour Noël une jolie surprise : le survol de Manhattan en hélicoptère. Un chouette cadeau avant notre retour en Europe !

C’était tellement magique de voir New York sous cet angle…

Les compagnies qui proposent ce survol en hélico sont toutes équivalentes en termes de tarifs. Nous avons été satisfaits de Liberty Helicopter (mais sans moyen de comparaison puisque nous n’avons pas essayé les autres) … READ MORE

Falling for New York

Central Park…

When I will be back in Europe in a few months, it will probably be one of the places I will miss the most.

Whatever the season, all white under the snow (here), white and pink in Spring, vivifying green in summer of multi colored in Autumn, this park is absolutely gorgeous. I’m totally in love with it.

Yesterday, like every first Saturday of summer, was the MERMAID PARADE 2014!

I had loved it so much last year that Romain and I had decided to do it “for real” this time, we had planned to dress up and everything! Unfortunately, Romain is in North Carolina for work. Winter Wonderland

What a nice surprise when I woke up yesterday morning to see that New York was wrapped in a lovely white blanket! The first snow of the year! After the storm, there was a beautiful and magical light.

I took my courage and my camera, I put so many clothes on that I looked like nothing (multiple layers mode!
