It took me a while to find enough time to do nothing for several hours in a row but write this article for you. It’s gonna be long and passionate – and I hope exicting, but let’s not be too sure about that…
(more than 15 hours to be totally honest, including the time I spent selecting my pictures and the responding delay of my exhausted Macbook).
Let’s get in the atmosphere…
DAY 1
I woke up early on Friday and jumped in a yellow cab to join the lovely Kenza and be introduced to Mathilde and Julie, to meet the Birchbox US team. Birchbox is THE cosmetic box in the US. They actually bought Jolie Box and you should really take a look at their website, where you’ll find many exclusive and awesome products (how would you like an article on the subject pretty soon?). We rediscovered Laqa&co products and visited Birchbox offices, where I think anybody would dream to work : a design, girly and stimulating open space, teams of young, creative and dynamic people that are here to take care of your make up bag!
Then I ran to the Kate Spade show, that I wouldn’t have missed for anything in the world. I love this typically New-York brand, colorful and feminine. I just adored the whole collection and took a lot of pictures. The models were smiling, and the clothes were graphic, flashy, and fresh… No surprise I had a big crush on it.
After this colorful journey, I jumped in a taxi again to meet the girls at the Plaza for a lunch and a facial care in the spa Caudalie. Mathilde Thomas, the founder of the brand, introduced us to the Caudalie products while we drank wine and ate cheese and grapes. No need to tell you that my face, tired from the jetlag and the previous week, really enjoyed that moment. We then had a French girly night and I was so exhausted when I went to bed, setting my alarm clock on 5:30.
DAY 2
I woke up at dawn to meet Kenza, Mathilde and Julie at the Lincoln Center. We had a backstage pass for the Ruffian catwalk, and I could admire the preparation of the show and the nail polish created exclusively for Ruffian by Birchbox. I really want to try to reproduce this highly sophisticated manicure on my own hands!

Then we attended the show, which was really nice. I really liked the cuts, the flower prints and the shades of this “Ingénue” collection.
After that, I went to the Son Jung Wan catwalk (where I saw Lily Van Der Woodsen… as in a Gossip Girl episode!). I liked the lines, the volumes and the ‘palette’ of this very feminine collection.

A little burger to recover and I ran to Hervé Léger show. The dresses were gorgeous and I felt bad about the burger when I saw the ultra slim cuts…
After that, I went to the Birchbox Pop Up for a perfect make up and hairstyle before the diner at the Buddakan (THE restaurant in the movie Sex and the City – here). I had diner with the designers from Ruffian, at the same table as Carrie Bradshaw. We had great food, and then I said goodbye to Kenza, Julie and Mathilde, who were flying back to Paris the day after.
DAY 3
I rested a little in the morning, then I had a brunch and went to the Rewardstyle Party on the Empire Hotel Rooftop!
Between two glasses of champagne, I ran into many bloggers : the lovely Christina (Trop Rouge), Andy from Stylescrapbook, Aimee from Song of Style, but also Danielle from WeWoreWhat, Sincerely Jules and many others.
DAY 4
I wasn’t invited to any show on Monday, and I actually enjoyed having a little break! However, Emilie and I went to the “Opening Ceremony By the Water Party” on the Hudson River side, and we had so much fun! I ran into Humberto Leon, one of the creators of Opening Ceremony.
DAY 5
Intense day! I went to the Tory Burch show in the morning, dressed in Tory Burch (my article here). GORGEOUS! I loved the inspirations of the show : Brigitte Bardot, Saint Tropez, Swimming Pool by François Ozon… Unfortunately, my pictures don’t reflect this lovely collection : I didn’t want to ruin my outfit with a photo bag for my 5D, so I took an old Reflex Camera… Obviously, the quality of the images isn’t the same… Too bad, because the show was really worth it!
When I came out, I ran into Kristina and James, who I hadn’t seen in months!
After that, I when to the DIESEL Black and Gold show, that took place in Grand Central Station! It was kind of messy, but the show was ok. Very Diesel, actually! I particularly liked the models hair and make up : nice breeds and a very natural nude make-up.
DAY 6
I went to the Michael Kors show on my knees. Last one before rest!
And this was the icing on the cake of an incredible week !
I loved EVERYTHING ! It was chic, elegant, modern and classic at the same time. I really liked the fabrics and the shades of this beautiful collection. And it was so nice to see Karolina Kurkova, Karlie Kloss and Lindsey Wixson on the catwalk.
On that day, I ran into Kristina and Andy again, and I had the time and the pleasure to drink some iced tea with the super cool Lisa from Make my Lemonade, who happened to be in a “street style mission”.

J’ai rêvé avec toutes ces photos ! Waouhh ! Toutes les collections font rêver, les imprimés sont trop canons ! Je ne connaissais pas la marque Kate Spade et j’en suis tombée in love avec leurs imprimés trop trop canons !

Merci pour ce super post! Tu nous fait partager un morceau de Fashion Week de manière originale, c’est comme si on y était! C’est tellement agréable à lire, car, comme tu le disais justement dans un autre post, les autres blogueuses font un post tous les jours, ce qui est bien, mais du coup, à part quelques photos du show et de leurs tenues, on n’a aucune idée de la façon dont tout cela se déroule! Je préfère mille fois ta façon de faire!
Maintenant, j’ai une très grosse envie de revoir le film Sex&the City!
